Stuart V. Gibson


Stuart has amassed over 40 years of experience spanning all facets of Telecommunications, Engineering, Operations, Construction and Ownership. He began his career with the U.S. Army Signal Corps and is a Vietnam Veteran having served two tours in Southeast Asia.

During the 24 years since the inception of GTS, Stuart has directed and orchestrated the company's growth and direction. He has provided the dedication to quality and commitment to the customer that has defined GTS from its meager beginnings to its reputation as one of the leading providers of engineering services in the industry today.

Michael's career spans 30 years in the Telecommunications Industry. His background and expertise includes CATV network planning, design, architecture development, construction, engineering, and operations for major MSOs. In addition Mike has been instrumental in the development of various Optoelectronics, RF Amplifier, and Transport Equipment solutions. Mike began his career in 1979 as the Headend (electronics) Technician for Storer Communications in their Dallas, TX facilities.

Mike then became Chief Engineer of the Dallas area consisting of 1700 miles of cable plant and 120,000 subscribers. In 1983, Mike became the Technical Manager for the state of Florida where he was responsible for equipment evaluation, vendor selection, technical operations, as well as engineering performance for each Storer Cable system in Florida. After a successful career and the sale of Storer Communications, Mike made a decision to accept a position as Regional Engineer with U.S. Cable Television Group. In 1988, Mike accepted a position with Scientific-Atlanta as Supervisor of their Technical Services Dept. During the course of his nine years with the company, Mike held various positions concluding with Staff Applications Engineer.

In 1995, Mike made the move to Gibson Technical Services as its V.P. of Engineering. During the past 18+ years, Mike has directed both the engineering, and operational growth of the company. Mike has continued his career with GTS and now serves as it's President and minority owner.

During Mike's 30+ years in the industry, he has achieved numerous professional milestones. Certifications in Broadband Communications Engineer (BCE), SCTE Senior Member, Broadband Communications Technician (BCT), Member of IEEE, Certified Telephony, Certified D.O.C.S.I.S. 1.0 & 1.1, Board of Directors Society of Telecommunications Engineers in Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi, Chairman of the Board for North Florida S.C.T.E, Member of Loyal Order of the 704, Published Articles in Communications Technology, C.E.D. Magazine, as well as Trademark material for Scientific-Atlanta.

After 12 successful years in MSO operations and project management, Jon joined the GTS in 1997 to manage our Oklahoma City Project for Cox Communications. Jon was promoted to GTS' corporate team as Director of Construction in 2000 and was promoted again in 2002 to VP of Construction. Due to successfully contributing in winning bids, managing successful projects, and day to day operations with professionalism and integrity, GTS named Jon as their COO in 2007.
